I want to take time to talk more or rather lay emphasis on a situation that has been news and serious news for sometime now. We all have probably heard about it, seen it or read about it but however it is, we know and agree it's a very sad situation and one that has to be not just talked about but acted upon. I am talking of the sad, sick and pathetic security system in our country, i am talking about the police and how they have turned to the complete enemy of the people.
Police brutality is now a thing in this country and honestly it's a very sad situation. They used to say that ' police is your friend' even though a lot of people didn't see them that way, but they surely didn't see them as the enemy. But right now and for a while now the people seem to be scared of the police than even the criminals themselves. A sector SARS whose duties to catch and Chase after armed robbers and protect the lives of citizen, tend to take innocent lives.
I don't want to believe that the police leadership has not heard about it or does not know what is going on but because they themselves are also nut jobs they fold their arms and watch the lower ranking officers continue in their utter stupidity probably because at the end of the day they get some sort of commission, I don't know but It's a disgrace and they should be ashamed of themselves.
They are not doing their jobs as security agents, the work they signed up for and nobody forced them.They are instead aiding and abetting criminals, creating rooms for criminal activities when they instead of doing their job rather stand by the side and collect money from transporters , seize their vehicles and even raid and arrest innocent people in the name of getting bail money.
Now not all the cops are bad cops there are a few left but the activities of the bad ones has covered the good ones and now it's as if there are no good cops. The president and leaders of the country knows about this and choose to do nothing about it or take it very lightly instead of showing strength and authority being precise in dealing with the situation. And if they don't know about it then shame on them cause they are not doing a good job.
Recently there has been a recorded number of death due to police brutality, a lot of police harrasment and illegal arrests. What the hell is going on in this country? Why have we decided to make the world and our country a living hell for each other in this country, especially those in authority. Death by police indiscipline and brutality. Young people are mostly affected by this, they are mostly the target of these sector. If someone breaks the law or commits a crime then you arrest the person or carry out the duties of your office according to your jurisdiction and not to beat or harrass or arrest for no reason, intimidating people probably because you're a man in uniform or you feel they have nobody to fight for them or they don't have their right or know it. If a criminal is armed and fires at you in a case of a pursuit you can fire your weapon back in your defense but not to fire at will to someone who is neither a criminal or someone that is unarmed. It's a disgrace, it's sick ,it's stupid and SARS should be banned.
A lot of families has been been devastated by this act even those that were never discovered. Its a shame and it has to stop. There has to be a serious reform to our security system and police force. Serious training should be undergone on how to act, compose and behave as a proper police officer or SARS agent and the limit of your office and power . As if we don't have enough problem in our country already.
We are calling out and also calling on everybody, the entire police force as well as their leadership. The government and every citizen of this country to come together,unite as one and stop police brutality in our country. we don't have to suffer anymore than we already are with the poor situation of the country. We stand tall and we say NO to POLICE BRUTALITY, NO to GUN VIOLENCE, and YES to END SARS.
