Harry and Meghan thank the public for its "support and kindness"


Harry and Meghan posted a video on their official Instagram page thanking the public for its “support and kindness.”
Their post read:
“This afternoon, His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex shared the news of the arrival of his and the Duchess’ first born child. Their son was born early morning on the 6th of May, 2019 and weighs 7lbs and 3oz. Their Royal Highnesses thank you for your support and kindness during this exceptionally joyful time in their lives as they welcome their baby boy.”
The video shows Harry from earlier today, speaking to reporters after announcing the news.
"It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined," he said.
"A Huge Congratulations to the Couple" 

  • What's happening: Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has given birth to a baby boy. The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well.
  • What we know: The newborn — who arrived at 5:26 a.m. (12:26 a.m. ET) — weighs 7 pounds, 3 ounces. The baby is seventh in line to the British throne.
  • Do we have a name yet? Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, says the royal couple are still considering names for their newborn. And we're not expecting photos until Wednesday.
